Free Web Authoring for Mozilla Firefox

Firedocs is a Web Authoring Add-on for the Firefox Browser. It is based on a generic editing platform for HTML, XML and text documents. A plug-in concept allows to add special GUI elements and extra functionality for editing particular document types.

Firedocs can be used as:

  • html/text editor for one-click access to remote content
  • for editing technical documentations, e-learning content or proprietary XML formats
  • frontend for XML-based ECM systems

The base installation has HTML and XHTML support and a source editor for all other document types. It works with Atompub, WebDAV, FTP (via FireFTP) and local files.
